A dynamic vehicle routing solver was developed which allows for real-time scheduling of pickup and deliver transports.
The developed solver automatically takes into account time and capacity constraints and is able to schedule thousands of tasks within seconds. Continuous re-optimisation results in schedules which cannot be matched by any human scheduler in terms of solution quality, thus significantly reducing operational costs.
Historical data is taken into account to anticipate future transportation demand so that it can be served more efficiently, again further reducing operational cost.
